One chapter would have been enough

The main idea is simple and easy to understand. I can see how the different stories and perspectives might be useful for someone who needs several examples before an idea really clicks.

Once I understood the main point, the rest of the book felt unnecessary. Chapter after chapter, I felt like I was reading different stories that ultimately led to essentially the same conclusion. Instead of developing the idea much further, the book seemed to keep repackaging it.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* was one of the most frustrating books I’ve read. My main problem is simple: I felt like I understood what the book wanted to tell me after the first chapter. From that point onwards, I kept encountering different stories, examples, and situations that seemed to lead back to essentially the same message. I can understand why this approach might work for some readers. If the main idea doesn’t immediately click, seeing it presented through different situations and perspectives could probably be helpful. For me, however, once I understood the point, I didn’t know what I was supposed to get from the rest of the book. Eventually, reading it became less about discovering something new and more about finishing it simply because I had already started it. Instead of looking forward to the next chapter, I found myself wondering whether I should just stop reading. There may be useful ideas here, but I don’t think they needed an entire book to communicate them. For me, the repetition completely overshadowed whatever value the original message had.
